Dr. Daniel Norris

Medical Director

Dr. Daniel Norris grew up in Midland, North Carolina, and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. He then went to North Carolina State University, where he obtained three Bachelor of Science Degrees in Animal Science, Biology, and History and a Master’s Degree in Animal Science. He continued his education at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2017. War Eagle. Dr. Norris began his veterinary career working in Mixed Animal Practice performing medicine and surgery on a variety of species.

While pursuing his education at NC State, he met his lovely wife, Tara. They have a daughter named Rosalee and a son named Oliver! In his spare time, he enjoys playing and teaching music, including Fusion Percussion, where he is the Director. He also enjoys traveling with his family. He loves to read and is very interested in Presidential biographies.

Ali Harkey

Practice Manager

Ali joined Mills Creek Animal Hospital as a Practice Manager in November 2020. In May 2022, she added Austin Village Pet Hospital to make it even more fun! She has a background in human medicine and a passion for true healing. The most rewarding part of her job is making a difference every day. Her blue heeler, Ozzy, keeps her hands and heart full at all times. Ali has found her calling within the field of Veterinary Medicine and looks forward to being part of you and your furry friend’s life journey.

Hannah, RVT

Lead Technician

Hannah was born and raised in Waxhaw and graduated from Gaston College in 2020 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. While at college, she met her wonderful fiancé, Frank, and they are getting married early next year! Now they live together in the University Area and have Tacoma, a bearded dragon, as a pet. Hannah worked in veterinary medicine for a few years before getting her Veterinary Medical Technology degree – she worked as a kennel assistant, client service representative, and veterinary assistant. During this time, she discovered her love and passion for this field. While in school and after graduating, she worked in emergency medicine for a few years. Hannah’s favorite parts of her job are venipuncture (drawing blood samples and placing IV catheters) and pre-natal and pediatric care. She enjoys teaching people and watching animals leave happier and healthier then when they first came in. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys mountain biking with her fiancé, hiking, camping, organizing, cooking and baking, playing the piano, and reading. She looks forward to helping educate people on how to take the best possible care of their fur babies!

Brooke

CSM, Safety Coordinator

Brooke has been with us since the doors opened in 2019. She will most likely be the voice you hear when you call and will remember your name, your pet’s name, and what you were here for the last time you were in. Her passion lies within client/patient relationships and making you and your pet feel right at home. She is an Orlando, Florida native and moved to be closer to her family here in North Carolina. Brooke’s four furry boys, Quincy, Drayco, JP, and Snuggles, keep her hands full at all times. She doesn’t mind because with her full hands came a full heart. Brooke can’t wait to learn about how she can support you and your furry friend(s).
